Airport transfer rules

Airport pickup and transfer policy

A plain-English summary of the airport transfer rules used to coordinate pickups, waiting time, luggage, cancellations, and special requests.

Pickup procedure

Airport pickups take place at the designated arrivals pickup zone. The chauffeur displays a Kimbugi Luxe name sign and customers should proceed to the pickup point after immigration and baggage.

Flight monitoring

Flights are monitored in real time. If a flight is delayed, pickup timing is adjusted at no extra charge.

Waiting time

International arrivals include 2 hours free waiting time. Domestic arrivals include 1 hour 30 minutes free waiting time. Extra waiting time is charged at KSh 500 per 15-minute block.

Luggage

Standard allowance is 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on per passenger. Oversized or extra luggage should be declared in advance so the correct vehicle can be assigned.

No-show

A booking may be treated as a no-show if the customer is unreachable after the free waiting period and no communication has been received. No-show charges may apply.

Safety

Licensed and insured Kimbugi Luxe vehicles and chauffeurs are used. Seatbelts must be worn, and customers should avoid accepting help from unidentified people inside the terminal.

Payment

Airport transfer rates are per vehicle, not per passenger. Payment options can include cash, M-Pesa, card, or approved foreign currency where available.

Special requests

Child seats, VIP meet-and-assist, extra luggage, or group transfers should be arranged in advance. Additional charges may apply.

Lost and found

Items left in vehicles are logged and stored for 7 days. Customers can arrange collection or delivery.
