Self Drive rental terms summary

Owner review required

The signed rental agreement remains the controlling document for a confirmed hire. This page explains the main customer obligations in plain English so customers can understand the process before booking.

Full payment must be made before vehicle handover.

Late returns are charged at the daily or hourly rate until the vehicle is returned.

Vehicle condition and fuel level are recorded at handover and return.

Vehicles are comprehensively insured, but the hirer is responsible for the insurance excess, listed as 5% of insured value or as per the active policy.

If a vehicle is grounded for repairs after damage during hire, the hirer may be responsible for loss of revenue.

The hirer covers minor damage such as tyres, lights, glass, paintwork, and accessories.

The hirer should inspect the vehicle within 2 hours of handover and report any extra damage immediately.

The hirer must use the correct fuel, fluids, and reasonable care during the rental.

The hirer must protect the vehicle against damage, theft, illegal use, and careless handling.

The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location and time.

The vehicle must not be used illegally, for racing, towing, or outside Kenya without written permission.

Accidents, theft, breakdowns, or police incidents must be reported immediately.

Personal data may be processed for rental management, credit control, and asset protection.
